Order Details

 

  1. Thank you for placing your order with Artisan Furniture. As a valued customer your order is important to us and we will always do everything possible to ensure you receive and enjoy your new furniture at the very earliest opportunity.
    Any outstanding balance must be paid in full prior to delivery or collection being arranged. If goods are to be collected, cleared payment in full must be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to collection. Unless & until the goods are paid in full, ownership & title remains with Artisan furniture Ltd.
    All furniture products are guaranteed for one year with exception to ex-display goods “sold as seen”.
    Goods sold as seen must be checked in detail to ensure you are happy with all imperfections that may be evident. All goods sold as seen cannot be returned.
    It is our customer’s responsibility to measure both the access and final resting space of your piece(s) of furniture.
    Amendments to orders may result in an additional cost and /or delay to the delivery of the goods purchased.
    Once we confirm receipt of your order, delivery or collection must be taken within 14 days of the latter of the due date quoted to you at the time of ordering or the date of arrival into our warehouse.

 

Matching Finishes

 

For instore sales, please ensure you have checked the shop floor model in detail, when placing your order, to ensure you are aware of and are content with the finish of any of our more rustic furniture collections, each piece may differ in appearance, color and finish when your delivery is made.
All of our furniture is made from natural materials. As such, this invariably means they will contain natural imperfections which are deemed part of the charm and genuine authenticity of each piece and considered to be inherent characteristics of real wood furniture.
Fabrics do vary from one product to another, every effort will be made to ensure consistency but cannot be guaranteed.
Artisan Furniture cannot exchange furniture due to natural imperfections and grain variation

 

Quality Assurance

 

  1. Any claim regarding shortages, damaged or faulty merchandise should be made at the time of delivery or reported to customer services within 7 days of receipt.
    Where problems are reported pertaining to items we have delivered, Artisan Furniture Ltd. reserves the right to pursue any or all of the following courses or others as may be deemed appropriate under the circumstances.
    a) Uplift and remove the affected item(s) to effect repair or replacement before arranging to redeliver the item.
    b) Uplift and remove the affected item(s) and make a payment of a refund in full and final settlement.
    c) Leave the affected item(s) in situ until such time as a suitable replacement item can be delivered.
    d) Refuse to offer a refund and / or replacement in instances where further material damage has occurred after delivery of the item(s).
    e) Instruct an independent arbitrator to carry out an inspection and / or attempt repair on the affected item(s).

 

Delivery, Returns and Cancellations

 

  1. Delivery times quoted are based upon those quoted by our suppliers, and can only be regarded as a guide.
    Artisan Furniture Ltd. is not responsible for delays caused by manufacturers or carriers that are beyond our control.
  2. In any event time of delivery shall not be of the essence.
    The Seller shall not be liable for any delay in delivery howsoever caused.
    Our drivers and staff will deliver to ground floor and basement level only.
    Your furniture can be placed in the desired room, however this is at your own risk. Our delivery team will take every care and every precaution possible to avoid any damage to your home. However, Artisan Furniture Ltd. cannot accept responsibility for any consequential damage to your home as a result of your request to move goods further than your property entrance.
    Regretfully we are unable to remove packaging and cardboard.
    Artisan Furniture Ltd. make every conceivable effort to carry out deliveries on the day and time agreed. If for any reason delivery is delayed, Artisan Furniture Ltd. will not accept liability for any consequential loss.
  3. We reserve the right not to accept any order request if:
    1. we have insufficient stock to deliver the goods you have ordered.
    2. we do not deliver to your area.
    3. one or more of the goods ordered was incorrectly described or priced on the website.
    4. the payment transaction is not authorized.
    If we do cancel your contract we will notify you by e-mail and will refund to you any sum paid by you to us in respect of the contract as soon as possible, and in any event within 30 days of the cancellation of your order. We will not be obliged to offer any additional compensation for disappointment suffered.
  4. Online orders may be cancelled at any time between the placement of the order and 7 working days following delivery of the goods. This cancellation policy applies to online web sales only.
  5. If the Buyer is dissatisfied with his purchase for any reason he may, within seven working days of delivery, contact Artisan’s customer service department in writing (either in writing to 42 Milton Road, East Kilbride G74 5BU or e-mails are accepted at info@artisanfurniture.co.uk) to notify them that he wishes to return some or all items from his order. The Buyer can either arrange to return the goods himself to Artisan at his own cost or he may ask Artisan to collect the goods in which case he will be charged £29 for a single item and £45 for two or more items which will be deducted from his refund.
  6. Goods must be returned to Artisan in the same condition they were in at the time of delivery to the Buyer and in their original packaging or similar. Items which are not adequately packaged at time of collection may not be collected and a charge of £29 may be levied to cover cost of failed collection.
  7. You are the owner of the goods once they have been delivered to you and you are liable for their loss or destruction.
  8. Refunds will be issued within 30 days of receipt of goods and after we have inspected them for damage.
  9. Refunds will be made in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase
  10. We reserve the right to withhold all or part of your refund if items are returned damaged.
  11. Mattresses can only be returned if they are unopened. Mattresses which have been opened and slept on cannot be returned. If you wish to test a mattress please keep it wrapped until you are sure you want to keep it.
  12. You are reminded that all orders placed with us and accepted by us form part of a legally binding contract.
    Please note that in exceptional circumstances orders can take up to 26 weeks to be delivered to you. This can be due to unforeseen manufacturing or shipping delays which are entirely out with our control. Therefore a cancellation or refund request will not be accepted until after this timescale.
    Due to the ‘’made to order’’ nature of our furniture, time will not be considered of the essence for delivery unless a 26 week period has elapsed between the date of order and the request for a cancellation has been made in writing.
    Please be assured that Artisan Furniture makes many thousands of deliveries a year of which the vast majority are completed within the guide lead times and to our customer’s satisfaction.
    It can take a little longer to make and deliver fully assembled solid wood furniture and we kindly ask that you are patient with us. Our customer feedback confirms that the overwhelming majority of our valued customers love their furniture once received and will enjoy it for many years to come.

 

 

Variation of Terms & Conditions

 

    • Stores managers and sales staff are not permitted to vary the terms & conditions of sale.
      Artisan furniture has a zero tolerance policy to verbal abuse or indeed any other form of abuse, we kindly ask that you remain tolerant and polite with any information requests you may have. Our team at Artisan is on your side and will always act with total professionalism before, during and after all sales.
      Store managers and sales staff may have limited knowledge of your order details and may not be able to give accurate information or updates. Should you request further information, please make contact as follows;
